About Distributed Sun in 2012

Distributed Sun LLC (“D-Sun”) is an industry-leading commercial solar developer and profitable Solar Energy Investment Company (SEIC) manager.  D-Sun develops, finances, constructs, owns and operates medium-to-large sized, solar renewable energy facilities on commercial and industrial sites in the Mid-Atlantic, Northeast and Southwest. D-Sun and its SEICs provide the development capital, sponsor equity, and tax equity, and syndicate all construction and term debt finance required from selection through banking of its portfolio projects.

The Company has power commissioned in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, and recently announced the largest commercial systems for New York City and Delaware.  Its first SEIC, sunONE, achieved breakeven and profitability in June, 2011, fifteen months after initial equity capital calls.  sunTWO is fully financed and constructed, and begins serving power in Q112.  sunTHREE is formed and currently in finance syndication.

Initially funded in 2010, the Company recently announced its fourth Solar Energy Investment Company, sunFOUR – an institutional take-out finance facility – and currently has 32 MW of power commissioned, under construction, and contracted, and nearly 125 MW in development.  The Distributed Solar Network™ was established in late 2011 and formally launches in 2012 – delivering finance certainty with industry-driving project selection and banking tools – alongside unique benefits to installer and owner network members.

In 2012, the Company emphasizes four growth paths – 1) rolling-out the Distributed Solar Network nationwide; 2) ramping-up sunFOUR and sunFIVE, our dedicated, programmatic tax equity facilities; 3) expanding key relationship-driven, real-estate portfolio partnerships to the Southwest and other new regions; and, 4) repeating recent successes in major and landmark project development – like our partnership with Cornell University to develop solar, geothermal and fuel cell solutions at the recently announced $2B NYC Tech Campus on Roosevelt Island.

D-Sun uses a suite of sophisticated, proprietary analysis tools – including the Acquiris™ Guide, Sunrise Database, Azimuth Panel, Radiance Dial, SOL Index, SEIC Dashboard, and TruSolar™ – for project selection, benefits analysis, levelized measurements, risk underwriting, finance approval, and facilities management.

Commercial rooftops are prime real-estate for solar photovoltaics. Distributed Sun converts this unused space into energy savings.

Solar carports provide shaded parking using an array of solar panels, keeping cars cool in the summer while harvesting energy from the sun.

Vacant land can be turned into large solar farms using ground mounted solar arrays that generate revenue.
