Where We Build

Preferred Buildings

D-Sun applies project development and finance expertise to a wide variety of project types.  Each category of commercial property presents unique challenges and opportunities for the deployment of solar power for on-site use.

Our relationships with component manufacturers, contractors, and utilities allow us to customize solutions for many different building types.  From hospitality and commerical office properties to carports and light industrial facilities, our experienced development team is qualified to assess any opportunity for installation of a photovoltaic system.

Current Projects

D-Sun funds and operates aggregated solar projects through its Solar Energy Investment Company (SEIC) model.  D-Sun's SEICs have developed and are operating facilities in Maryland, New Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania and New Mexico. To view short descriptions of selected projects, please click on the building images in the right column.

Selection Criteria

The commercial sites best suited for solar development by D-Sun share a number of characteristics: 30,000+ square feet of flat, unencumbered space; high energy consumption; and stable occupancy – either by the owner or a long-term tenant.

Project Types

Commercial rooftops are prime real-estate for solar photovoltaics. Distributed Sun converts this unused space into energy savings.

Solar carports provide shaded parking using an array of solar panels, keeping cars cool in the summer while harvesting energy from the sun.

Vacant land can be turned into large solar farms using ground mounted solar arrays that generate revenue.
