Managing Complexity and Uncertainty

The solar industry can be volatile and unpredictable. D-SUN understands that project selection and approval must be deliberate and it must demonstrate sophisticated understanding of risk and uncertainty. D-SUN chooses its investments carefully, rigorously vetting projects and partners to ensure that only the most viable and cost-effective opportunities are chosen.

A Proven Approach, Using State-of-the-Art Tools

D-SUN utilizes four comprehensive analytical tools to manage its projects, company, and funds. Our solutions were built in-house using proprietary data sources and algorithms and are continuously updated with the latest policy, performance, finance, rates, and trading data.

sunRISE Database

Drives our solar policy intelligence, tracking all state and federal impacts to risk and return outcomes for our projects and funds. Facilitates the selection of optimum performance projects resulting in the best net cost inputs for our investment funds.

Radiance Dial

Builds project financial in minutes, “dialing” IRR to maximum, risk to minimum, while measuring cost, revenue, and performance metrics. Precisely measures the sensitivity of return-on-investment projections to a wide array of input variables.

Azimuth Panel

Points our project and finance committees to go/no-go decisions, permitting only investments that meet or exceed hurdle to be approved. After rigorous analysis and integration of real-world inputs, only projects expected to outperform these strict standards are approved.

SOL Index

Drives partner quotes and savings schedules, while reporting environmental attributes, derivative income, and expense benefits. Calculates the Savings Over Lifetime provided by our solar systems for specific project partners.

Commercial rooftops are prime real-estate for solar photovoltaics. Distributed Sun converts this unused space into energy savings.

Solar carports provide shaded parking using an array of solar panels, keeping cars cool in the summer while harvesting energy from the sun.

Vacant land can be turned into large solar farms using ground mounted solar arrays that generate revenue.
