Five Easy Steps

Our PPA Model

A Unique Partnership Opportunity

Distributed Sun (D-SUN) builds, operates, and maintains commercial solar installations - rooftop, groundmount, and carport systems - and sells the solar output generated to site host clients at discount rates below their real, avoided cost of conventional electricity.

We cover the entire upfront cost for construction of each project approved by our truSolar™ underwriting criteria.  Our project partners benefit from bankable project selection, certain finance, institutional partners and reduced and more predictable cost of electricity.  Our host partners also enjoy green-branding and over the duration of the PPA and useful lifetime of the system, property value increases in accordance with prevailing cap rates.

The complexities of selection, design, procurement, engineering, construction, policy and finance can make a solar project seem daunting.  We distill this complex process into a manageable and transparent partnership path with clear steps and milestones.  For projects to be selected, they must pass our rigorous Aquiris™ guidelines.  To be banked, they must meet scoring protocols of truSolar™.  These tools introduce a level of confidence and certainty often lacking in solar development.

Commercial rooftops are prime real-estate for solar photovoltaics. Distributed Sun converts this unused space into energy savings.

Solar carports provide shaded parking using an array of solar panels, keeping cars cool in the summer while harvesting energy from the sun.

Vacant land can be turned into large solar farms using ground mounted solar arrays that generate revenue.
